I'm a big boy now!

Last week, Daddy, Tristan and I all rolled up our sleeves to clean Tristan's room. And, I mean REALLY clean his room. We went through all the drawers, every nook and cranny and "edited" his toys {aka, threw some out}. Before, we had to use his top bunk for storage because he had so much stuff. Now, we've gotten everything organized in the closet or put away nicely on a shelf or in a drawer. So, that leaves the top bunk open. Tristan has decided that he needs to start sleeping on the top bunk. Previously, we've only let him go up there to play while we were in the room with him and he had very strict instructions not to go up and down the ladder by himself. Well, he's 4 now and perfectly capable of traversing the ladder unassisted. We started out letting him nap on the top bunk {which meant he actually wanted to take a nap...what?!?!} and then transitioned to letting him spend the night up there. He did great, but I think we got up about 932 times to check on him!

Can anyone find the little boy that's NOT tired?

Yep, that's him...and that blue thing he's holding is his beloved 'woof woof'
You might be thinking that his head should be at the other end of the
bed where the penguin is lying...you would be correct.

  1. Danielle, how funny the timing of this post is. I was just talking to my husband today about setting up a bunkbed for Cole and Bella (they have twin beds which can either be separated or used as a bunkbed). We could really use the extra space if we set their beds up as bunkbeds but I was telling him how nervous I was about one of them sleeping in the top bunk. But seeing how your little guy is the same age as they are, and he seems to be doing well, I think I'm gonna tell my husband to go ahead and set the bunkbeds up. Then I'd just have to find a way to keep the little twins from climbing up to the top and leaping off...ugh!

To find how people are landing on your blog, do you have a stat counter? If you do, just go to "keyword analysis" and it'll tell you exactly what words/phrases people are typing in to their search engine which brings them to your blog! You can see what they read and how long they stayed on your blog. Kinda interesting!

I don't have the link to the story about Kate Gosseslin depriving her daughter of water but if you google it, I'm sure you'll find it. I think I saw the video on Access Hollywood's site but now I can't remember. I remember reading the story and thinking it had to be blown out of proportion but then I managed to find the video and it really did happen as it was reported. The video was almost worst than it was actually reported, as you can see one of the older twins ask for water and then Kate tells her to be quiet, then asks for a bottle of water for herself and drinks it in front of the kids, as her daughter is practically salivating as her mom is drinking the water. Then after a few seconds of the girl begging her for water, she starts to reach down for her water bottle to give to the girl but then she says "oh, we're about to interview"....I couldn't believe it!! If it were me, I would've asked them to hold off for another few minutes on the interview so my kids could have something to drink...or at the very least let my kids drink something while being interviewed. Just seeing that video has changed my opinion of her even more.
